- Break Study Time into Small Chunks. We are humans. We have a limit. Don't sit for long time at a stretch.
- Take breaks after a 30-40 min session. A follow-up of the above tip.
- Turn headings into Questions and read each paragraph as an answer to a particular question. In this way, you can get better prepared for subjective exams.
- Get enough Sleep. Studying requires certain amount of concentration and awareness. It is difficult to study with a tired brain. Studying 2 hours when you're tired equals studying about 15 minutes when you're mentally and physically fit to study.
- Get a quiet and clean place to study . Minimum disturbances and distraction.
- Review and Revise. If you quite an exhaustive amount of theory, it is common to lose track of the topics you mastered two days ago. Therefore regular revision is required.
- Make a 'Realistic' Timetable- Make a timetable that you think will work for you, not the one that you try to follow one day and realise it's impossible. Start with a reasonable timetable and slowly increase the time as you become comfortable with the timetable.
- When in doubt, ask – If you aren’t sure about a particular topic, don’t be shy. Ask your instructor, family, or friends for help. It is important to address the problem area as soon as possible. Otherwise, you will end up having to spend even more time studying to catch up.
